Sines closed the 1st half year higher

Containerized cargo continues to be on the rise with the number of Teu movements growing with 34%

Sines closed the first half of 2017 with a total of 25.8 million tons, corresponding to a year-on-year growth of 7%.

The containers cargo continued to stand out with a total turnover of 926,212 TEU, an increase of 34% over the same period of 2016.

Also, Solid Bulk increased by 7%, with coal accounted for around 2.8 million tonnes, up 13% on the same period last year.

Although there was a decrease in Liquid Bulk, it should be noted that LNG - Liquefied Natural Gas, exceeded one million tons.
